** The 82 Truck **

This topic is for 1982 truck, 22R engine 3/4 ton hauling capacity.

The engine runs fairly well, has some challenges with warming up in colder weather.

The stock carburetor was last rebuilt in 2019. Truck has a mostly all new brake system, as in all new hydraulic cylinders / front calipers. Back wheel brakes are drums.

Voltage regulator, alternator, coolant lines, and battery are all fairly new.

There are many shops that specialize in rebuilding similar trucks to this, most of the focus is on four wheel drive trucks which this one is not.

The bed is 7’ with a custom wooden canopy built by previous owner.

This is the truck with load of rocks and railroad ties:

This is photo from 2017, truck looked little different then:

I took custody of this vehicle in the summer of 2017, drove once to SanFran and back to Seattle in December ‘17. This photo is from drive back north along the pacific coast U.S. highway 101.

Load of fence boards here:

Truck has got to 311,702 mileage today, is being grounded for winter.

This vehicle is up on jack stands now, have drained coolant and oil + removed radiator.

Needs a new valve cover gasket, probably oil pan gasket and some of the old brake lines should be replaced.

Great news have the engine running again, discovered electrical fault between ignition control module and spark distributor has been repaired. Engine now has a new ignition coil, distributor cap, spark plugs, and battery.

This is a great summer work truck should be back on the road soon after being grounded for the past winter.
